Since July 2007, the BBB-Chicago had asked Feldco to discontinue its practice of advertising in print, video, audio and on the internet that consumers receive "free" products or services with the purchase of windows in sales transactions where the price of those windows are arrived at through negotiation. This advertising practice is prohibited by section 2(b) of the BBB Code of Advertising and section 6 of the BBB Standards for Advertising, Selling and Servicing Home Improvements.
